Cookie policy

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies creopositano.com uses, what they are for and how you can change your mind at any time. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, of which this document is an integral part.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. They make the site work, remember your choices and, in some cases, measure how it is used. Alongside cookies there are technologies with the same purpose, such as the browser's local storage and tracking pixels: for simplicity, we call them all cookies here.

The three categories

1. Technical cookies (always on)

They make the site work: keeping your cart, remembering language and currency, managing access to your account, protecting the payment. The site does not work without them, so they do not require your consent (art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). They are set by the Shopify platform, which hosts the store.

The main ones: cart, cart_currency, cart_ts and cart_sig (cart), localization (language and country), secure_customer_sig and _secure_session_id (session and login), keep_alive, _shopify_essential, _cmp_a and _tracking_consent (these store your cookie choice itself), _shopify_m and _shopify_tm. Duration: from a few minutes to one year.

2. Statistics cookies

They tell us how many people visit the site, where they come from and which pages they view, in aggregate form. They help us understand what to improve. They are set only if you consent.

The main ones: _shopify_y and _shopify_s (Shopify internal analytics, up to one year), _shopify_sa_t and _shopify_sa_p (visit attribution, 30 minutes), _landing_page and _orig_referrer (landing page and referrer, two weeks).

3. Marketing cookies

They measure the results of advertising campaigns and show you more relevant ads on other platforms. They are set only if you consent. If no campaign is running, these cookies are not written.

They may be set by: Meta (Facebook and Instagram, _fbp pixel and fbclid parameter), Google (_gcl_au and similar), TikTok (_ttp).

Third-party services on the site

Shopify (Shopify International Ltd, Ireland): store platform, payments, internal analytics.
Judge.me: collecting and publishing customer reviews.
Instafeed: shows the latest images from the CREO Instagram profile on the home page.
Shopify Forms: contact and sign-up forms.
PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay: payment methods, activated only at the time of payment.
Google Search Console: domain ownership verification, with no cookies on the visitor.

Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Transfers take place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or of an adequacy decision. Details are in the Privacy policy.

The site's fonts are served from the platform's servers and not from external servers, so displaying them does not transfer your IP address to third parties.

How to give and withdraw consent

On your first visit a banner offers three options: accept all, reject all, or choose category by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and until you choose, only technical cookies are set.

You can change your mind at any time from the cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal applies to the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before.

You can also manage cookies from your browser settings: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. Please note: if you also block technical cookies, the cart and account login stop working.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to the processing, by writing to creo@positanoglasses.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Updates

The tools we use may change. When they do, we update this page and, if the change concerns cookies that require consent, we ask for your choice again.
